VBSY: SMC expands reach to 4 more Wards

SRINAGAR, DECEMBER 22: Demonstrating an unwavering commitment to community progress, the Srinagar Municipal Corporation (SMC) has elevated its efforts in fostering development within the city by successfully extending the reach of the Viksit Bharat Sankalp Yatra (VBSY) to four additional wards.

The latest phase of the Yatra encompassed Ward No. 29 (Magarmal Bagh), Ward No.30 (Jawahar Nagar), Ward No. 31 (Chanpora), and Ward No.32 (Baghat).

This initiative aims to bring the benefits of various government welfare schemes closer to the residents of these areas.

The VBSY initiative encompasses a diverse array of events designed to engage and assist the community. Notably, “Meri Kahani Meri Zubani” provided a platform for beneficiaries to share their success stories and experience with the various government welfare schemes.

Additionally, free health check-ups, Aadhar card registration, and the generation/registration of Ayushman cards were made available, ensuring convenient access for those in need.

Throughout the program, an IEC van showcased informative short films spotlighting key welfare initiatives, including PM Ujjwala Yojana, PM Awas Yojana, PM Svanidhi, Jal Jeevan Mission, Pradan Mantari Garib Kalyan Anna Yojana and more.
