VBSY: SMC extends its reach to 04 more Wards of Srinagar to cover unreached citizens

SRINAGAR, December 20: Srinagar Municipal Corporation (SMC) has extended the reach of its impactful Viksit Bharat Sankalp Yatra (VBSY) to cover four new locations within the city, namely Ward No 21 (Islamyarbal), Ward No.22 (Karan Nagar), Ward No.23 (Chattabal), and Ward No.24 (Bemina).

This SMC has been expanding its reach each passing day to bring the benefits of various government welfare schemes closer to the residents of these areas.

The VBSY initiative encompasses a diverse array of events designed to engage and assist the community. Notably, “Meri Kahani Meri Zubani” provided a platform for beneficiaries to share their success stories and experience with the various government welfare schemes.

Additionally, free health check-ups, Aadhar card registration, and the generation/registration of Ayushman cards were made available, ensuring convenient access for those in need.

Throughout the program, an IEC van showcased informative short films spotlighting key welfare initiatives, including PM Ujjwala Yojana, PM Awas Yojana, PM Svanidhi,Jal Jeevan Mission, Pradan Mantari Garib Kalyan Anna Yojana and more.

During one of the events, Commissioner SMC, Athar Aamir Khan led the pledge “Hamara Sankalp Viksit Bharat” at the Central Office SMC in Karan Nagar, Srinagar. This pledge was taken by all officers, officials of SMC, representatives from various line departments, and enthusiastic participants.
