VBSY Van reaches Panchayat Pallanwala Lower and Bhagwana Chak of Block Khour, spreads message of PM Modi
JAMMU, December 11: As part of the ongoing Viksit Bharat Sankalp Yatra, the special IEC van today reached Panchayat Pallanwala Lower and Bhagwana Chak in the Border Belt of Block Khour. The campaign was accorded a warm welcome by the members of the Swagat Committee comprising PRI Members of panchayats in presence Ex MLA Krishan Lal Sharma, Block Development Officer Khour Dheeraj Sharma along with officials of line departments and local public.
The VBSY Van screened the video message of the Prime Minister Narendra Modi and his vision of making India a developed nation by 2047.
The PM urged the people to take a pledge to work for the progress and prosperity of the country. The people present at the event took the Sankalp and expressed their commitment to the cause.
The event began with the National Anthem and was followed by the cultural performances by the students of GHS Pallanwala Lower and GMS Sillanwala, who showcased their talent and enthusiasm through songs, dances and skits.
Representatives of the line departments explained the procedure to avail benefits of government schemes and programmes launched for the public welfare. They also distributed pamphlets and brochures among the people and responded to their queries.
At the event, the public availed free health care services under the Pradhan Mantri Jan Arogya Yojana. Certificates of appreciation were presented to Progressive Farmers to recognize their contribution towards the agriculture sector. Sanction letters of old age and widow pensions were also handed over to the deserving applicants on the Spot.
Besides these activities, different departments highlighted the achievements made by them and also imparted knowledge about different schemes operated by their departments in the jurisdiction of the panchayat.
