Vigilance Awareness Week 2023: MVD Bandipora organizes Awareness Camps across district

BANDIPORA, November 04: As part of Vigilance Week 2023, the Motor Vehicles Department (MVD) Bandipora Saturday organized a series of awareness camps across the district including at Bandipora, Hajin, and Sumbal.

ARTO Bandipora, Bilal Ahmad Mir said that the department has taken proactive steps to actively engage with the community especially transporters and instill the values of integrity and accountability within its operational framework. He said, as part of this commitment, a series of awareness camps were organised throughout the week in different parts of the district.

During the programme, the participants were educated about the importance of identifying and reporting corrupt practices in the public and private sectors. Significance of transparent systems and procedures in government operations were also highlighted.

On the occasion, transporters and the general public were informed about the recently launched 54 e-KYC faceless services of the Transport Department.

The participants were provided with comprehensive information on the newly launched services, emphasizing the benefits and ease of access.

It was informed that the faceless services aim to streamline processes related to licensing, registration, permits, and other transport-related activities, reducing the need for in-person visits and minimizing paperwork.

The transporters and general people were informed about mechanisms to report misconduct while safeguarding their identity.
