Vikramaditya lauds SC’s landmark verdict on Article 370

Asserts brighter future for J&K, free from discriminatory laws

Jammu, December 11: Former MLC Vikramaditya Singh today wholeheartedly welcomed the decision of Supreme Court upholding the constitutional validity of the abrogation of Article 370 in Jammu & Kashmir.

In a statement issued here today, the former MLC said “This landmark judgement marks a significant step towards the complete integration of J&K into the Indian Union. It paves the way for a brighter future for the Union Territory, free from the shackles of a discriminatory and divisive law.”

Vikramaditya Singh further stated that the Supreme Court’s decision reflects the culmination of a long-held aspiration of the people of J&K. “For over 70 years, the erstwhile state has been plagued by instability and underdevelopment due to the special status granted by Article 370. With its abrogation, we can finally look forward to a period of peace, progress, and prosperity,” he said.

Expressing his optimism for the future, the senior political leader anticipated the restoration of J&K’s statehood and the holding of free and fair Assembly elections. “This will allow the people of J&K to choose their own representatives and have their voices heard in the Legislative Assembly of Jammu and Kashmir,” he said, adding that it will mark a new era of democracy and self-determination for the union territory.”

Vikramaditya Singh called upon all stakeholders to work together towards building a peaceful and prosperous Jammu and Kashmir. “The Supreme Court’s decision presents a golden opportunity to usher in a new era of peace, development, and harmony for the union territory.
