Vikramaditya strongly condemns selective killing in Anantnag 

Expresses grief over loss of lives in Jajjar Kotli accident 

JAMMU, May 30: Former MLC, Vikramaditya Singh strongly condemned the selective killing of a youth belonging to a minority community, in Kashmir’s Anantnag District.

In a statement issued here today, the former MLC termed the killing of a Hindu youth namely Deepu hailing from Udhampur District as an act of cowardice by the terrorists. He said that such acts are being carried with the sole aim of vitiating the peaceful atmosphere of Jammu and Kashmir.

He demanded that perpetrators of the crime should be identified at the earliest and handed over exemplary punishment so that none dares to raise the ugly head against this nation that strongly believes in global peace and harmony.

The former MLC also expressed grief over the unfortunate accident in Jajjar Kotli area in which 10 persons were killed and more than 50 were received severe injuries.

He urged the Lt Governor to review the causes of the recurring fatal accidents and take measures to save the precious lives on priority. He urged the administration to provide best medical treatment to the surviving passengers and also financial help to families of the deceased and the injured.

He conveyed heartfelt condolences to the bereaved families and prayed for early recovery of the injured.
