Viksit Bharat Sankalp Yatra gains momentum in Ramban district, visits 97 Panchayats so far

RAMBAN, DECEMBER 12: Viksit Bharat Sankalp Yatra (VBSY) visited four Panchayats of block Batote amid huge public participation to sensitize the people, besides saturating the Centrally Sponsored Schemes across the district.

IEC Vans accorded a rousing welcome by PRIs, senior citizens, youth, and local residents on its arrival in four Panchayats under the aegis of Deputy Commissioner, Ramban, Baseer-Ul-Haq Chaudhary and engaged with knowledge enriching audio-video material screened on screening system and special IEC Vans.

The Viksit Bharat Sankalp Yatra (VBSY) campaign witnessed enthusiastic and vibrant participation of all stakeholders in Panchayat   Rakhjarog, Thopal, Barron Batote and Chakwa in district Ramban. Started on November 28, the Yatra has gained further momentum across Ramban by covering 97 Panchayats of the district.

The people from all walks of life participated in various activities held under Viksit Bharat Sankalp Yatra in their respective panchayats with the aim to saturate the Centrally Sponsored Schemes by reaching out to the people at their door steps. They listened attentively to recorded video messages of the Prime Minister, emphasizing the significance of the campaign.

DDC, Jagbir Dass, BDO, Batote, Kavita Bandhral and various other officers participated in the Viksit Bharat Sankalp Yatra in different panchayats of block Batote.

Pertinently, the Yatra aims to reach out to the unreached population, making them aware of various Government schemes such as Jal Jeevan Mission, Ayushman Bharat Yojana, Pradhan Mantri Garib Kalyan Anna Yojana, Pradhan Mantri Mudra Yojana, Jan Dhan Yojana, PM Awas Yojana, PM Kisan Saman Yojana, Jeevan Joti Bima Yojana, along with the process to avail benefits.

During the day, Health camps were organized to provide Medical checkup and distribution of free medicines, administered Hamara Sankalp Viksit Bharat pledges to participants, set up of stalls by various departments besides sensitizing the people about their schemes, sports events and cultural programmes were organized and people were also sensitized about importance of vote in democracy by the Election Department.
