Viksit Bharat Sankalp Yatra’s reach-out emerges as on-the-spot grievance solution in Ramban
RAMBAN, JANUARY 10: The ongoing Viksit Bharat Sankalp Yatra, led by Deputy Commissioner Baseer-Ul-Haq Chaudhary, is creating a wave of positive change in Ramban District. With the active participation of over 82,200 people, including 31,800 women, this 44-day initiative is gaining impressive momentum.
The Yatra focuses on implementing important government schemes and spreading awareness about beneficiary-oriented programs. It brings together local youth and people from marginalized communities, showcasing their enthusiasm for schemes like PMAY-G, PMAY-U, PM-JAY Ayushman Card, Poshan ICDS, PM Garib Kalyan Anna Yojana, MUDRA Yojana, KCC, and PM Kissan Nidhi.
A special emphasis is placed on healthcare accessibility through extensive issuance of PM-JAY Ayushman Cards, and health screenings for anemia, TB, and NCDs. The ICDS (Poshan) team is actively creating nutritional awareness and conducting anemia tests for women and children.
In support of agriculture, the Agriculture Department’s distribution of KCC cards to farmers plays a crucial role. The “Meri Kahani Meri Zubani” initiative allows around 2,300 individuals to share success stories, fostering a sense of community achievement.
Today’s activities included an impactful Information, Education, and Communication (IEC) Van visit to several Panchayats, generating substantial public engagement. In Batote town, a motivational program encouraged residents to benefit from government-sponsored schemes, with various departmental stalls providing awareness and facilitating registrations.
Honoring two beneficiary families with token keys to their new homes marked tangible progress in housing initiatives. Jahangir Hashmi, PO ICDS, mentioned that the daily reach-out during the Yatra is becoming a platform for on-spot grievance redressal in certain cases.
Conducted under the supervision of DC Ramban, Bharat Sankalp Yatra is a driving force for positive change, involving the community and propelling the district toward the shared vision of a developed India by 2047.
