Viral video prompts enquiry: Committee formed to probe alleged medicine shortage at Ramban Hospital

A viral video alleging lack of medicines at the District Hospital in Ramban, Jammu and Kashmir, has sparked outrage on social media, prompting the District Magistrate to constitute an enquiry committee to investigate the claims.

Responding to the viral clip, the Ramban district administration has swiftly constituted a four-member enquiry committee headed by Assistant Commissioner Revenue, Gasul Haq, JKAS. The committee also includes the Chief Medical Officer, District Treasury Officer, and the Medical Superintendent of the District Hospital, Ramban.

The committee has been tasked with conducting a thorough investigation and submitting a detailed report within a week.

The District Magistrate’s prompt action in setting up an inquiry committee is a positive step towards addressing the concerns raised in the video.
