Virtual Training/Workshop on Election Preparedness for Political Parties and Media Personnel in Ladakh

LEH, February 17: The Chief Electoral Officer of Ladakh, in collaboration with the Chief Electoral Officer of J&K, organized a two-day virtual training/workshop for political parties and media personnel.

During the training/workshop for political parties on February 16 sessions on nominations, EVM preparedness, Election Expenditure Monitoring, and the Model Code of Conduct, along with general instructions to political parties, were conducted by National Level Master Trainers (NLMT) from IIIDEM, Election Commission of India.

Similarly, in the training/workshop for Media Persons on February 17 sessions on the Role and Importance of Media in Elections, Media Facilitation, and Media Regulations were conducted by National Level Master Trainers (NLMT) from IIIDEM, Election Commission of India. The Media Persons were also provided with hands-on training on EVM and VVPAT.

The District Election Officers of Leh and Kargil arranged the training/workshop in their respective offices, which was attended by Representatives of political parties and media persons from both the districts of Leh and Kargil.
