Vivek Bali Calls on Centre Government for Immediate Action to Ensure Safety of Indian Students in Bangladesh
Srinagar, 6 Aug 24:- In light of recent developments in Bangladesh, Vivek Bali State General Secretary of JD(U), has urged the Centre Government to take decisive action to ensure the safety of Indian students residing in Bangladesh. The appeal comes amid growing concerns over their well-being following reports of Bangladesh Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina’s safe arrival in India.
In a press release issued today, Vivek Bali expressed his grave concerns about the safety of Indian students in Bangladesh. He questioned the current safety assurances for these students, given the heightened tensions and uncertain situation in the country.
“The safety of our students abroad is of utmost priority. While it is reassuring that Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina has reached India safely, we must not forget the numerous Indian students who remain in Bangladesh and are potentially vulnerable,” Bali stated.
He urged the Ministry of External Affairs of India to establish direct communication with Bangladesh military officials to guarantee the protection of Indian students. “The Ministry of External Affairs should take swift measures to ensure that there is a clear line of communication with the authorities in Bangladesh, particularly the military, to safeguard our students during this turbulent period,” Bali added.
Vivek Bali’s call to action highlights the importance of proactive measures to ensure the safety and security of Indian nationals abroad. He emphasized that the Government of India must act promptly to provide the necessary assurances and protection to its citizens in Bangladesh.
