Volleyball Tournament held across Samba District to promote anti-drug campaign

SAMBA, MARCH 29: The Department of Youth Services and Sports Under the direction of District Development Commissioner Rajesh Sharma, organized a dynamic Volleyball tournament across all zones of Samba district today.

The event was held under the banner of Nasha Mukt Bharat Abhiyan (Drug-Free India Campaign), in collaboration with the District Administration and Social Welfare Department.

The tournament, which attracted 144 male participants, was conducted at various zone headquarters under the supreme guidance of the District Youth Services and Sports Officer. Dharmvir Singh. Zonal Physical Education Officers supervised the matches at their respective locations.

The initiative is part of the district’s ongoing efforts to promote healthy lifestyles and raise awareness about the dangers of substance abuse among young people. Through such events, the administration aims to channel youthful energy into constructive activities.

Winners from each zone were recognized for their sporting excellence, with officials emphasizing the importance of discipline, teamwork, and perseverance both on and off the court.
