Voter awareness program -Divyangjan Shakti organised for PwDs at Reasi

REASI, SEPTEMBER 13: A voter awareness camp, part of a series of SVEEP programs, was held here today focusing on electoral education of Divyang persons of the District.

The Participating Divyangjans pledged to cast their vote and become a role model for society

The participants were educated about the “SAKSHAM Portal” launched by the ECI. They were informed about the facilities such as ramps and wheelchair accessibility at polling stations, besides the provision for home voting provided for elderly and specially abled voters by ECI and District Election authority.

The initiatives have been introduced to ensure that every PwD and elderly person can participate in the voting process with ease and dignity, they were told.
