Wani asked party cadres to gear up for ULB elections

Jammu, September 9  : A meeting of PCC including Dist. Presidents, frontal heads, Corporators/councilors of Jammu Dist. was held to take stock of the preparations for the upcoming ULB and Panchayat elections besides discussing the burning issues of the people and the overall political and security scenario  in the UT and the country.

The meeting was chaired by PCC President Shri Vikar Rasool Wani , which was attended by Shri Raman Bhalla  (Working President), Th. Balwan, Smt. Indu Pawar (Ex-MLA),  Vinod Sharma, Shiv Kumar Sharma (INTUC), Kapil Singh (Spokesperson), Pawan Raina, Shashi Sharma,  Sanjeev Panda, Thomas Khokher,   Rajvir Singh, S. Gurmit Singh, Rajiv Saraf,Corporators Dwarka Choudhary, Ritu Choudhary, Bhanu Mahajan, Pritam Singh and Rashpal Bhardwaj,  Sh. Vijay Sharma- President Sewa Dal,   Ch. Hussain Ali Waffa – ViceChairman ST,  Bhavishya  Sudan,  Sandeep Dogra, Vijay Shastri, Santosh Manhas, Bhushan Dogra,  Jatin Raina,  Balbir Singh, Vijay Malhotra, Michael Wazir , Hoshiar Singh, Jugal Sharma,  Anoop Gupta, Ricky Dalotra, Parshotam Mehra, Camres David Babloo,  Com. Gurmeet Singh, Miss Tamana Heer, Vijay Kumar Sharma, Farooq Ahmed, and others,

He  took stock of the preparations for the ULB’s Observing Committees members for Jammu Urban and asked party cadres to gear up for these elections  and  defeat the anti people anti youth, anti students  BJP regime. The party sought input from Jammu district and blocks regarding the activities of the party.

PCC Chief lashed out at those parties who have been exploiting the sentiments of the people on various emotional issues for vote bank politics but utterly failed to deliver their commitments, causing great unrest in different regions and sections of the society. The people must identify such political parties and reject them being their worst enemies and responsible for the mistrust and unrest amongst the people.

 He appealed that the people of Jammu region should rise above the  caste and religious  exploitations and vote unitedly in favour of Congress to defeat the nefarious designs of communal, divisive and separatist forces in the state in order to seek due share in every sphere of life. He complimented the people of Jammu region for believing in togetherness and religious harmony despite grave provocations by vested interests

Shri Vikar Rasool Wani called upon the party functionaries to go to the masses and maintain close rapport with the people and seek suggestions regarding the issues of general public to be taken up in  the party manifesto for the next elections. He asked the local leadership of districts, Blocks, Wards and observers  to try to identify and short list the potential candidates for the ULB elections and said that the mandate will be given to the deserving /hardworking candidates. He asked the party cadres to highlight  the various failures of the BJP Govt. among the masses.

He further stated that BJP Govt. in its 9 years rule under the prime minister ship of Shri Narinder Modi has ruined the country in every field. Every section of the society is suffering due to his wrong policies and wrong decisions. The people of Jammu and Kashmir  are the most sufferers. The Modi Govt. has snatched the right of jobs and land from the people of J&K by downgrading a full-fledged state into Union Territory. The property tax, toll plazas, smart meters, unemployment has added more in the miseries of people of Jammu and Kashmir, Wani added.

Mr. Raman Bhalla in his address said that  unemployment is increasing day by day.  Govt. advertizes jobs, Sell application forms by charging heavy fee and then cancel these jobs on reasons. In this process  youth have become over aged and frustrated for their future. The people, especially youth will certainly  ask the local  leaders of BJP , what they have done for them.

He lashed out at the entire BJP leadership for ignoring and neglecting the mandate of Jammu who remained as mute spectators for the sake of power. He asked the leaders and activists of Jammu Urban to fan out in their areas and educate the masses about the failures of BJP Govt. at the Centre and State.

Bhalla stressed upon the need to counter the false propaganda of BJP claiming to be champions of Jammu for last seven decades but miserably failed when they got huge mandate on falsehood and unachievable slogans. BJP stands exposed totally and it can no longer befool the masses of Jammu region. He said that unholy alliance  caused a great harm to the social and secular fabric of Jammu region and  people must reject all opportunists and exploitative politics in coming elections.
