“Wattan Ko Janoo” Journey Flag off by DC Reasi
REASI, February 15: Under the aegis of “Wattan ko Jano”- a Youth Programme to know about the cultural and social diversity of Country, a group of 250 youth of UT, including 17 inmates of Bal Ashram Mahore along with Co-ordinator, Hardev Singh (Tehsil Social Welfare Officer, Mahore) were flagged off for 15 Day Tour by J&K Rehabilitation Council, Social Welfare Department, here today
The exposure tour was flagged off by Deputy Commissioner, Babila Rakwal.
Earlier, the DC said that the main objective of the program is to enable the youth of Jammu and Kashmir, especially victims of militancy, children from Bal Ashrams, Nari Niketan run by Social Welfare Department and other Orphanages, to know about the social and cultural heritage and diversity of mother India and to integrate them socially, culturally and emotionally with the rest of the country.
