“We are taking out yatra against injustice being done to farmers”: Nakul Nath on Congress’ Kisan Nyay Yatra
Chhindwara (Madhya Pradesh) [India], September 20 (ANI): Former Chief Minister of Madhya Pradesh Kamal Nath’s son and Congress leader Nakul Nath said on Friday that they were taking out ‘Kisan Nyay Yatra’ against the injustice being done to farmers.
Madhya Pradesh Congress took out a ‘Kisan Nyay Yatra’ on tractors in support of farmers seeking to increase the minimum support price (MSP) of soybean crop from Rs 4892 a quintal to Rs 6000 a quintal across the state on Friday.
In the same series, Congress leaders held a Kisan Naya Yatra on tractors in Chhindwara district as well, and Nakul Nath also joined the yatra with farmers in the district.
Nath told reporters, “Today, seeing the problems of the farmers, the Congress party had to take out this Kisan Nyay Yatra. Today, the farmers are the most troubled in the whole country and today we are taking out this yatra for justice for the farmers, for their rights. We are taking out a yatra against the injustice being done to the farmers.”
Meanwhile, in a post on X, Nath wrote, “Today, I joined the Kisan Nyay Yatra with the farmer who brought tractors from all over the district and raised the voice of the farmer. Due to the anti-farmer policies of the central and state government, the farmers have been forced to protest today.”
“This ruthless government is not affected by the pain and problems of the farmers, today the farmers neither have a fair price for their produce, nor adequate fertilisers, electricity and resources. Farmers, the backbone of India, are getting buried in debt day by day and there is no one to listen to or understand their problems,” he further wrote.
