Weekly Block Diwas camps held at 4-places across Doda district

DODA, June 28: In a remarkable display of public outreach and engagement, the District Administration Doda today orchestrated Block Diwas proceedings at Block Headquarter Bhaderwah, Sub District Bhaderwah; Panchayat Sinoo, Sub Division Gandoh; Block Headquarter Assar, Sub Division Assar; and Tehsil Headquarter Thathri, Sub Division Thathri.

The programme garnered an overwhelming response from individuals representing diverse backgrounds, including PRIs. They earnestly expressed their issues, encompassing fundamental necessities such as improvement and augmentation of water and electricity supply, better healthcare with sufficient staff and infrastructure, adequate teaching staff in educational institutions and road connectivity to unconnected areas.

The programme was held under the supervision of Deputy Commissioner, Vishesh Mahajan. Block Diwas initiative endeavors to establish direct contact with the people, attentively listen to their grievances, and effectively resolve them in a coordinated and efficient manner.

During the day long Block Diwas proceedings, Public and PRIs put forth a range of issues/ demands. The Presiding officers of the Block Diwas gave patient hearing to the issues and demands and directed the concerned officers to prepare a list of issues/grievances raised pertaining to their departments and resolve the same at an earliest.
