Weekly Block Diwas: DC Udhampur holds public outreach programme at Chanunta
UDHAMPUR, FEBRUARY 8: Deputy Commissioner, Udhampur Krittika Jyotsna today visited Block Chanunta where she attended a weekly block diwas meeting and listened to the public issues.
Sarpanches, Panches and a large number of the general public of the adjoining Panchayats attended the public outreach programme and projected several demands and problems being faced by them. They demanded upgradation of High School, Nagrota Panjgrian to Higher Secondary level, Augmentation of drinking water, supply of electric poles, meeting of shortage of staff in schools and health centres, Ambulance facility for Chanunta Health centre, Construction of boundary wall of schools, provision of Panchayat ghars for halqas lacking the same and establishment of new Anganwadi Centre etc.
Responding to the demands, the DC addressed many grievances on the spot by giving directions to officers of concerned departments. The rest of the demands were recommended to the concerned quarters for addressing the same as per budgetary provisions. PRI members including the general public of the area appreciated the working of different departments like RDD, Revenue, Forest, Irrigation and other departments for providing public delivery services at their door steps.
Among others, SDM, Ramnagar Shishir Gupta, ADDC, Udhampur Ghan Shyam Singh ACD, Ranjeet Kotwal and other District and sectoral officers attended the programme.
