Weekly Block Diwas: Kishtwar Admin holds public grievance redressal camp at Thakraie
DC listens to grievances of people, redressed majority of them on spot; inaugurated RDD assets, reviews working of winter Tuition Camps; distributes sports Kits among Youth Club members
KISHTWAR, January 18: With an aim to redress the grievances of people at their doorstep, Deputy Commissioner Kishtwar Dr Devansh Yadav today chaired a weekly Block Diwas Programme here at block Thakraie.
The programme waste attended by DDC member Thakraie Shariefa Begum, ACD Kishtwar Attul Dutt Sharma,BDO Thakraie Tasleem wani,XEN PMGSY Mohinder Sen,XEN Jal Shakti kishtwar Ajay Talwar, BMO Kishtwar Dr Sat Lal, DSWO Kishtwar Zubair Ahmed, Naib Tehsildar Keshawn Abdullah Islam, Ayush incharge besides PRIs.
The Public Grievance redressal camp was organised by Block Development Office Thakraie wherein scores of people from adjoining panchayat thronged the camp and highlighted their grievances and issues pertaining to upgradation of infrastructure and streamlining of public delivery services in their respective areas.
Majority of the grievances highlighted by PRIs and delegation of people were redressed on spot by Deputy Commissioner Kishtwar in consultation with concerned District Officers.
Awareness regarding Schemes pertaining to different Departments were also imparted to the participants by concerned departmental heads and their officials present in the camp.
Meanwhile, DC Kishtwar held an interaction with parents of Out of School Children (OOSCs) and motivated them to send their wards to the special winter classes being conducted under the Back to School initiative of Project Talaash.
In this regard, a resolution was also passed in the special Gram sabha for sending 88 identified Out of School children of panchayat Keshwan A & B back to school.
During the camp, the DC also distributed sport Kits among youth volunteers of Panchayat Keshwan provided by BDO Office Thakraie.
The DC Kishtwar also inaugurated various assets constructed by RDD Thakraie including Community Sanitary Complex at HSS Keshwan, Amrit Sarovar/Pond at Panchayat Anjole & Panchayat Dharbadan.
Later, the DC also visited Government High School Sirgwari and inspected the condition of the school building. He passed necessary directions to concerned Officers for renovation of the school building. He also took stock of the Winter Tuition Camps and enquired about the logistic and educational facilities being provided to the registered school children.
En-route, the DC met with deputations of panchayat Dharbadan and listened to their issues with regard to the compensation issue of the land acquired by NHIDCL. He assured for prompt redressal of the issues in consultation with concerned Officers.
