Where Is Amy Preasmyer Daughter Now?

A 26-year-old lady, Amy Preasmyer was convicted of soliciting a man to kill her boyfriend. When Amy was 16 years old her boyfriend Ricky Cowles Jr. made her pregnant which made her life hell. Amy believed that Ricky added more burden to her life with this unwanted pregnancy.

She later made a plan and approached a storekeeper William Hoffman aka Billy. She offered him money or favors to kill Ricky. On Aug 12, 1997, Billy broke into Ricky’s Lancaster apartment, beat him with a claw hammer, and shot him to death.

After the incident, there is nothing against Amy Preasmyer and she made her way out of the crime.

Amy, a mother-to-be, decided to keep the child. Amy gave birth to Kayleigh all alone and became a good mother. In 1999, Billy was sentenced for the brutal murder of Ricky. Let’s find out what happened to Amy after this and where is Amy and Ricky’s daughter now.

What Happened To Ricky Cowles Jr. and Amy Preasmyer?

Ricky was a 21-year-old electrician working with his family and Amy was a high school student when both met for the first time at a house party. Ricky and Amy were in love and everything seemed fine. But one day, things changed when Amy found she was pregnant. She yelled at Ricky and had a bad fight.

Ricky tried to keep things good and tried every possible way to keep her happy. But Amy was very upset with Ricky, she also complained about Ricky to their friends that he made her life hell. Ricky moved with Amy, and Jennifer to his new apartment in Lancaster. But things turned even worse. One day Amy met storekeeper Billy and made a plan to move Ricky out of her way.

Amy offered Billy money in exchange for killing and Billy agreed. Amy involved Jennifer in their sister’s plan. On 12 Aug 1997, when Ricky came home back at 9 PM, he was brutally attacked by Billy with a claw hammer and after the scuffle, Billy shot Ricky in the head and left.

Ricky was found dead when the first responder arrived at the crime scene. In the investigation police found Billy break into the house and kill Ricky. In a statement, Billy said Amy told him to kill her boyfriend in exchange for money but due to lack of evidence Amy was set free. Later, she gave birth to her girl child, Kayleigh. Kayleigh and Amy lived in the same apartment in Lancaster, California. Amy brought up Kayleigh all alone. In 2005, police reinvestigated the case and arrested Amy Preasmyer, and subsequently Amy was found guilty of solicitation and sentenced to life in prison in 2008.

Where Is Amy Preasmyer’s Daughter Kayleigh Now?

Currently, Kayleigh is living in California. She shares a good bond with all her family members including Amy’s parent and Ricky’parents. She often visits all her grandparents and Ricky’s sister.

In an interview, Amy’s mother said that Kayleigh has gone through a lot at a very young age. She also said Kayleigh is good at hiding her feelings. She always puts a smile on her face as she does not want to hurt anyone. We all are with Kayleigh and it is so heartwarming to see her living a good life. We wish her all the best in her life.
