Winter Camp for NSS volunteers begins in GDC Kishtwar
KISHTWAR, FEBRUARY 2: A seven-day long NSS Winter Camp started today in Government Degree College Kishtwar under the aegis of Azadi Ka Amrit Mahotsav.
The camp was inaugurated by the College Principal, Dr.Jyoti Parihar in presence of Prof. Umar Din Rather, Dr. Ather Hussain, Dr Tariq Hussain, Prof. Akshey Sharma, Prof. Ajay Kumar, Dr. Munish Kumar and Prof. Sonika Sen (NSS Programme Officer).
Dr.Jyoti Parihar (Principal), in her address, laid emphasis on the importance of self-discipline, time-management and ethics for the development of any society. She encouraged students to render selfless services for the betterment of the community and nation. She applauded the students for their commitment.
Prof. Sonika Sen (NSS P.O) briefed about various events and activities to be organised during the seven-day winter camp.
NSS pledge was taken by the volunteers who later participated in a poster-making competition on Drug Abuse.
The program was anchored by Mutaqen-ul- Islam. Volunteers were very enthusiastic about the special winter camp despite harsh weather conditions.
The volunteers will be given certificates after the successful completion of the camp.
