Woman Arrested for killing husband in Baghat, Srinagar

Police have arrested a woman for allegedly killing her husband in the Rawathpora Baghat area of Srinagar district. Srinagar police tweeted that the accused, Shaheena Begum, wife of the victim late Abdul Rashid Dar, resident of Rawathpora Baghat, was arrested for the murder of her husband.

Police said that FIR number 54/2023 under section 302 of IPC was registered at Sadar police station. Prima facie the crime appears to have been committed in a fit of rage, further investigation is underway.
