Rampal urges people to maintain amity, brotherhood


Jammu:09-03-2025: Mata Rani ka Bhandhara was organized by the students and scholars of Jammu University under the chairmanship of Dr. Vikas Sharma, Coordinator Jammu District and Zonal Secretary of the Jammu and Kashmir National Conference (JKNC) at the revered Bahu Fort temple on the occasion of international women day.
It was inaugurated by Rattan Lal Gupta, former MLC and Provincial President of JKNC, who was chief guest and presided over by Former Minister and Zonal President JKNC Babu Rampaul.
Provincial Joint Secretary JKNC, Ankush Abrol and Provincial President of the SC Wing of JKNC Vijay Lochan were the guests of honor. A large number of students, scholars, and devotees were also present at the event, adding to the spiritual fervor of the celebrations.
Addressing the gathering, Rattan Lal Gupta lauded the efforts of the students and scholars for organizing the event, emphasizing the importance of spiritual gatherings in fostering community spirit and promoting cultural heritage.
He spoke about the role of women in history and their continued contributions to society. He encouraged young scholars and students to actively participate in activities that uphold moral and spiritual values while acknowledging the vital role that women play in the socio-cultural fabric of the region.
Speaking on the occasion, Babu Rampaul said we should respect all the religions so as to maintain amity, brotherhood and harmony, he insisted, adding that all the festivals should be celebrated together by people belonging to different religions.
He also highlighted the significance of International Women’s Day and the role of women in shaping society. He emphasized that such religious and social events not only reinforce cultural values but also serve as a platform to promote unity and inclusivity. Rampaul further stated that Jammu University students and scholars are committed to upholding traditions and contributing to the welfare of society through such initiatives.
Ankush Abrol also extended his greetings on International Women’s Day and praised the students for their initiative in organizing the event. He stressed the need for more such gatherings to promote communal harmony and cultural awareness among the younger generation.
The Mata Rani ka Bhandhara concluded with prayers for peace, prosperity, and the empowerment of women across all sections of society.
The organizers expressed their gratitude to all the dignitaries and participants for making the event a grand success, reaffirming their commitment to continuing such endeavors in the future.
Vikshay Vashist delivered the welcome address; Gourav Partap Singh, University President NSF was delivering the vote of thanks.
