Workshop empowers BLOs to strengthen Electoral process in Ganderbal Assembly Constituency

DC presides over the day-long workshop

GANDERBAL, MARCH 11: The Deputy Commissioner (DC) Ganderbal, Shyambir today presided over a one-day workshop aimed at enhancing the capabilities of Booth Level Officers (BLOs) within the 18-Ganderbal assembly constituency. 

Hosted at the auditorium of Boys Higher Secondary School Ganderbal, the workshop served as a platform to reinforce the pivotal role of BLOs in fostering transparent and fair electoral practices.

The workshop agenda revolved around the importance of Chunav Patshalas, Booth Awareness Groups (BAGs), and Voter Awareness Forms (VAFs) in the electoral framework. 

Through interactive sessions, participants gained deeper insights into their responsibilities, particularly in adhering to the Modal Code of Conduct (MCC) during elections.

With active participation from 152 dedicated BLOs, the workshop solicited valuable feedback, ensuring a collaborative approach to shaping future electoral strategies.

A key highlight of the workshop was the emphasis on leveraging Chunav Patshalas and BAGs to amplify voter education and awareness initiatives.

BLOs received comprehensive guidance on effectively implementing Voter Awareness Forms, aimed at enhancing civic understanding among voters.

In his address, the DC urged BLOs to play an active role in bolstering voter turnout in the upcoming elections. This directive underscores the commitment to fostering community engagement and strengthening the democratic fabric of the district.

The workshop concluded with a renewed sense of purpose among BLOs, poised to execute their duties diligently and uphold the integrity of the electoral process.
