Workshop on Ease of a doing Business, Single Window System held at Bandipora
BANDIPORA, March 04: The Department of Industries and Commerce on Saturday organised a district level sensitization workshop regarding Ease of doing Business and Single Window System.
The workshop was held on the directions of Director Industries and Commerce, Saloni Rai and was inaugurated by Additional District Development Commissioner Ali Afsar Khan.
Project Manager DIC Bandipora, Mehraj Wani; DFO Bandipora Mudasir Mehmood; Assistant Director Employment, District Officer KVIB, District Officer Geology and Mining, District Agriculture Officer, District Horticulture officer, Field officer from DIC Bandipora attended the Workshop, besides, members from Industrial Associations, Budding entrepreneurs and Youth from different panchayats also participated.
Speaking on the occasion, ADDC said the government of Jammu and Kashmir has taken several initiatives under Ease of doing Business and living reforms to provide hassle-free services to businesses and citizens.
During the programme, EoDB consultants from Ernst and Young along with a single window IT team briefed the participants regarding the process/system, and the workshop is part of the initiative to sensitize and inform the people about such initiatives.
The session included Question-Answer and open house discussion for better understanding and implementation of Portal.
Technical experts through detailed PPTs and video presentation explained the process of EoBD and Single Window System to the participants.
Moreover, a threadbare discussion was also held during the session. Various issues and changes to be made as per the departmental point of view were proposed to the visiting experts.
ADDC asked the visiting Technical experts to conduct more such workshops in the district to raise maximum awareness on single window portal in the district.
He further directed all the concerned departments to focus on the implementation of the single window portal for online processes in offices.
The Project Manager while speaking on the occasion said that the government is providing incentives to attract more people to start industries in the state to curb unemployment.
Wani also informed that the Integrated Single Window System will facilitate new investments locally & globally either through National Single Window System or through J&K Single Window System (www.singlewindow.jk.gov.in) with user-friendly interfaces and timely approvals.
