Workshop on Value Education & Indian languages with reference to NEP -2020 held at Central University of Jammu

JAMMU, July 28: Central University of Jammu, on the occasion of the third anniversary of NEP 2020, organised a Workshop on Value Education & Indian languages with reference to NEP 2020.The event was organised by the Centre for Comparative Religion and Civilization on the topic “Value Flow and Indian Languages in the context of National Education Policy 2020”.

Dr. Ajay Kumar Singh, Convener, In charge and Director of the Department highlighted the background of the National Education Policy and its successful implementation in the last three years and the future roadmap.

 Dr. Amita Gupta, Co-Convener Assistant Professor made the participants aware of Indian culture and constitutional values, explained the meaning of holistic education and developing human values and business ethics to become an integrated citizen. Dr. Amita shared some facts to restore Indian knowledge, tradition and cultural heritage of Jammu and Kashmir.

Dr. Ashwani Kumar Co-Convenor, Assistant Professor gave a speech on the topic ‘Importance of Language in Indian Culture’. He presented a lecture on personality building, society building and nation building. He underlined the effect of language on the behaviour of a person.

  Dr. Sanjeev Jain, Vice Chancellor, Central University of Jammu was the patron of the programme. In this program, students, researchers and academic and non-academic staff of all the departments were connected directly and through the online medium. The students enthusiastically participated in the quiz.
