Yasha Mudgal visits Kunfer Panchayat; Interacts with PRIs, locals
Asks public, administration to collaboratively work towards success of Nasha Mukt campaign
RAMBAN, November 15: Commissioner Secretary Cooperative, Yasha Mudgal, today visited Kunfer panchayat in Ramban block as Visiting Officer under ongoing ambitious “Back to Village” Phase V programme to assess the status of development works and beneficiary oriented schemes.
Interacting with the people, she outlined the significance of ‘Back to Village’ Programme saying that the main motive behind launching this Government- people interface programme is to ensure that not even a single person is deprived of the benefit of development schemes. She emphasized upon the people to ensure their proactive engagement with the district administration in taking the development profile of the district to top place.
Emphasizing the role of Nasha Mukt youth in developing a flourished society, Commissioner Secretary asked the District Administration and people to launch a joint Nasha Mukt campaign on mission mode to save the youth from drug addiction.
Yasha Mudgal had feedback from the general public about implementation of welfare schemes as well as developmental activities being executed in their respective areas.
Commissioner Secretary also reviewed the action taken by the departments on directions issues in the previous “Back to Village” meetings.
She directed the CEO, Ramban and executing agency to complete the Kasturba Gandhi Balika Vidyalaya building and make it functional as per directions. She directed the Deputy Registrar, Cooperative to intensify awareness drives to sensitize the people about schemes of Cooperative sectors.
Yasha Mudgal appreciated the Deputy Commissioner for adopting Kunfar panchayat for development as model Panchayat.
She also inaugurated a Carrom Match at Government Upper Primary School, Chanderkote.
Meanwhile, Deputy Commissioner, Baseer-Ul- Haq Chaudhary, briefed the Commissioner Secretary about the initiatives being taken up by the District Administration in coordination with concerned officers to resolve all the issues of public interest pertaining to their respective departments. He directed the officers of NHAI to construct an overhead bridge at Chanderkote to facilitate the locals, especially students.
During the programme, the officers from various departments sensitized the people about several schemes of their respective departments.
Earlier, the PRIs and locals highlighted their issues during Gram Sabha including construction of overhead bridges, completion of JJM schemes and augmentation of Water Supply Scheme, up-gradation of local Government High School, Chanderkote, construction of stadium, road connectivity to Magdan, etc.
Commissioner Secretary also distributed certificates among newly registered Cooperative Societies, sanction letters among loan beneficiaries besides baby and poshan kits, Nano Urea kits and blankets among the beneficiaries.
Among others, ADDC, Rajinder Sharma, ADC, Harbans Lal, ACR, Giasul Haq, ACD, PRIs, other senior officers and people in large number participated in the programme.
