“Your goons cannot crush my spirit”: BRS chief KTR after his convoy was allegedly attacked by Congress workers

Hyderabad (Telangana) [India], October 1 (ANI): Bharat Rashtra Samiti Working President KT Rama Rao’s convoy was allegedly attacked by some Congress workers when he was proceeding to meet the Musi victims in Amberpet Assembly constituency.

Notably, KTR on Monday criticised the Musi River Rejuvenation Project, saying, “1 lakh people are about to be homeless,” mentioning the demolition that is going to take place.

Indian Youth Congress Hyderabad city president Motha Rohit and team blocked KTR’s convoy in Amberpet.

KTR posted on X and said, “You cannot keep me from standing with my people. No bulldozer will silence the voiceless. I am and I will remain here, by their side. Your goons cannot crush my spirit or stop me from challenging your rule of tyranny, the Goondaraj. The thugs attacking my vehicle only strengthened my resolve. I will not waver.”

BRS MLA Harish Rao also posted on X and slammed Chief Minister Revanth Reddy-led Congress government in the state.

He said, “Rahul Gandhi ji, is this what you said the shop of love in the market of hatred? We strongly condemn the attack by Congress rowdy mobs on KTR who was going to visit Musi victims. People’s rule means attacking the opposition who are fighting for public issues. Attacks on the houses of public representatives, arrests of leaders, illegal cases. Is this what you mean by restoration of democracy?”

He further demanded that the people behind the “attack on KTR” should be identified and arrested immediately.

Meanwhile, KTR on Monday, resisting the Musi River Rejuvenation Project, alleged that CM Revanth Reddy “wants to earn money.”

“Today in Hyderabad, an atmosphere has set in near Musi river. Around 1 lakh people are about to be homeless. A team of the senior leaders of BRS is here in Hyderguda to understand their pain. We will then go to Kishanguda as well. We will go to Kishan Bagh too. We would like to ask one thing to Revanth Reddy government. You had said that you would implement 6 guarantees within 100 days. What happened to it?” KTR said

“We would want to warn Revanth Reddy government that you can do whatever you want. But BRS stands with the poor, the helpless. We will face your bulldozers, we will not let your plan to render people homeless go through…You will have to withdraw this proposal,” KTR added.

Earlier, KTR called Musi River beautification project a ‘scam’.

“Instead of fulfilling your promises, you don’t have money for that. But you have 1,50,000 crores for the Musi project. The central government only spend 40,000 crores for the 2400 km Ganga river. But for Musi River, which is 54 km, 1.50 lakh crores is being spent. If this is not a scam, then what is this?” KTR said.

CM Revanth Reddy on Saturday announced that historic buildings located along the Musi River will be developed as famous tourist spots. The CM said that the government is committed to promoting the tourism sector along with making Telangana a welfare state.
