YUVTARANG Cultural series concludes in PSPS Govt P.G. College for Women
JAMMU, JANUARY 25: The Yuvtarang – a special series of cultural activities and competitions organised by Department of Students’ Welfare Cluster University of Jammu in PSPS Govt P.G. College for Women, Gandhinagar concluded today.
The cultural bonanza featured Skits, Mimicry, Mime and Group Dances (Folk). All the cluster colleges of Jammu participated enthusiastically and enthralled the audience with their electrifying performance.
In Group Dance (Folk) and Mime, the participants from PSPS Govt P.G. College for Women, Gandhi Nagar bagged first position, while in Skit, the participants of PSPS Govt P.G. College for Women, Gandhi Nagar got second position. The best actor award was given to Naeeya Gupta. In Mimicry, Savi and Ashpreet Kaur from PSPS Govt P.G. College for Women, Gandhi Nagar secured second and third positions, respectively.
Anil Tikoo (JKAACL), Ifra Kak (Cultural Officer JU), Abhishek Bharti (Theatre Director), Shashi Kumar (Choreographer), Dr Priya Dutta (IMFA) and Shivani Kapoor (IMFA) acted as jury members.
Prof Bechan Lal, Vice Chancellor CLUJ, Dr Jitender Khajuria, Registrar CLUJ, Dr Twinkle Suri, Dean Students’ Welfare CLUJ, Dr Zubair Kalis (Dean Teacher Education), Dr Ranvijay (Dean Research Studies CLUJ), Associate Deans CLUJ, Cultural Coordinators CLUJ, Assistant Deans CLUJ graced the occasion.
The Principal of the Host College, Prof Minu Mahajan appreciated and applauded the efforts made by the students and the experts. The program was coordinated under the guidance and supervision of Dr Revika Arora, Convener Cultural Committee.
The proceedings of the event were conducted by Prof Sugandha Mahajan, Assistant Professor in Botany. The program concluded with distribution of prizes to the winners. Prof Neelam Thapa, Assistant Professor in English presented the formal vote of thanks.
