Zonal-Level Inter-School Tournament for Middle Schools of Khaltse zone commences in Leh

Leh, July 15: The zonal level inter-school tournament for Middle Schools of Khaltse zone commenced at Govt Higher Secondary School, Khaltse today on July 15.

The tournament was organised by the Department of Youth Services and Sports, Leh.

Principal Government Higher Secondary School Khaltse, Tsewang Paljor presided as the chief guest and inaugurated the opening ceremony.

During the occasion, Principal HSS, Khaltse, Tsewang Paljor briefed about the significance of sports with education to the students and advised the students to take part in every sport. He also appreciated the Youth Services and Sports Department, Leh for organising the tournament at zonal level.

Boys’ handball match was played between Middle School Skurbuchan and Middle School Moravian Mission School Khaltse where the Middle School Skurbuchan won by 5-3.

Besides, two girls’ volleyball match was also played, the first match was played between Middle School Saneth Bhema vs Middle School Takmachik where the Middle School Takmachik won and second match was played between Middle School Mahabodhi vs Middle School Kanji where Middle School Mahabodhi won the match.

A total of 18 Middle Schools participated in the tournament.
